The project

The Q-UNIVERSE project proposes to improve, optimize and expand the scope of Wellness TechGroup's waste management platform, Quamtra. To include user identification, access control and pay-per-use. Have some odor measurement variables using electronic nose.

Consortium: Wellness TechGroup, LIPASAM.

WTG'S OBJECTIVES

  • Optimization of bio-waste collection based on filling and emission / perception of odors.
  • Reduce operating costs, carbon footprint and energy consumption derived from transport logistics and collection of the bio-waste fraction.
  • Increase the quality of the urban environment of the city and the health of people.
  • Develop commercial products, with potential for market insertion, focused on the segment of container manufacturers, local entities, urban waste management companies and ICT services companies, consultancies, etc.
  • Develop potentially replicable products to other cities and containers (eg Rest, gray lid container).

WTG'S ROLE

  • Analyze the needs in terms of exploitation and enhancement of the data historically available and the new data that are being incorporated
  • Analyze the needs for filling control and access to the collection systems, user identification and know the possibilities of applying payment-for-use measures.
  • Analyze the construction needs of an electronic odor detection prototype in the biowaste fraction
  • Carry out the developments and build the prototypes of the systems related to the collection of bio-waste within the scope of the solution.
  • Carry out the integration of all developments and prototypes obtaining an integral result and pilot the complete solution in a real environment.
  • Perform the technical-scientific dissemination of the results.
