This week, the Smart Cities India Expo took place in New Delhi, where Wellness Telecom sponsored and participated in the round table on “Developing safe and resilient communities”.
David García Ternero, CEO of Wellness Telecom, gave a presentation in which he explained the successful implementation of an advanced security system in Seville last Easter. He went on to discuss how the company’s smart solutions can improve life and have a significant impact on millions of people in India, especially women and children.
India’s Government is currently focused on an urban initiative around developing citizen friendly and economically viable cities. It’s estimated that by 2030, 40% of India’s population will live in cities. With this rapid rise in the proportion of people living in urban areas, the need for sustainable cities is ever increasing.
Recognizing smart cities as an important platform to drive progressive change, the 4th Smart Cities India 2018 Expo joined forces with 4 other expos to create one “mega” event.
